DeFalco's Italian Deli & Grocery: Italy's best in Scottsdale
Serving Scottsdale patrons since 1972, Defalco’s Italian Deli & Grocery is rich in family history and authentically delicious in taste. Originally from Italy, the DeFalco family opened their first Italian grocery in Toronto, Canada in 1903. Later, younger decedents of the family opened a neighborhood tavern called Venezia, in Michigan where they served pasta dishes with homemade Italian sausage. Eventually, owners John and Dora decided to retire in Phoenix. Geraldo, their son, wanted to continue the family business and opened Defalco's Italian Deli and Grocery.
Priding themselves in always using the freshest and highest quality ingredients, DeFalco's Italian Deli & Grocery a place like no other. The staff happily treats people like family and is enthusiastic about their love for serving superb Italian cuisine.
Defalco’s is a very popular lunchtime spot in Scottsdale. Offering a large selection of sandwiches, salads, soups, pasta, deserts and much more, crowds of hungry patrons line up to get a taste. They also make party subs up to six feet and party trays in a variety of meats, cheeses and other items. Large orders and catering should be ordered in advance.
In addition to the extensive meal menu, there is a wide selection of Italian grocery products including meats, cheeses, deli salads, fresh baked bread, olive oil, pasta, sauces, canned goods and Italian sausage, made fresh daily. There is an enormous selection of domestic and imported wines and other specialty Italian liquors as well.
If you’re ordering menu items to go, it’s best to phone your order in ahead of time. If planning to dine in, be prepared for long waits and lines. The traffic picks up considerably during the lunch and dinner time hours. Defalco’s has several seating areas inside as well as a patio for outdoor dining.
